Released as a series of individual downloads during the year (screw you and your G.O.O.D. Fridays), the Fingerprint Series from Hunter-Gatherer is a fantastic collection of ambient electronica tracks. Starting with the dronetastic nine minutes of Serbia in May and ending with the soft tones of ‘Show and Tell’ earlier this month, it’s a wonderful menagerie of tunes. It’s impossible to pick a favourite, with so many standouts like ‘Peace Shrine (Marian Year)’ and the gloriously titled ‘Under Lock and Quay’. The artist himself has compiled them all into a single album, available for free from Bandcamp (or below), which is definitely worth checking out.
